Privacy and terms
Who we are
This website is run by Cloverdale Collective Pty Ltd (ABN 81 683 481 834), which trades as AiONe and UAVIT, in Queensland, Australia ("we", "us"). We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This page covers the website, aione.net.au. Customers using AiONe also have a written agreement with us that covers their own data in more detail.
What we collect
When you just visit
- No cookies, no advertising tags and no tracking across other sites. Fonts, images and our own scripts all come from this site.
- We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits: which pages are viewed, the site you came from, your country, and your device and browser type. It uses no cookies, doesn't build a profile of you, and we only see totals.
- Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes the technical details every website receives (your IP address, browser type, the page asked for) to deliver the page and protect it from attacks. We don't keep these in a log of visitors.
- The live heartbeat on the home page fetches machine-health figures (how many of our machines are awake and when they last checked in). Your IP address and details are not passed to our machines for it, and it shows nothing about anyone's conversations.
When you send an enquiry
- What you type in: your first name, your business name, what you'd like AiONe to do, and an email address or phone number.
- The device details shown to you before you send (device type, browser, screen size, language, time zone and the site you came from), and your approximate area (city or region, worked out by our network from your connection, never your exact location). These come with every enquiry so our team knows how you found us and can set AiONe up to suit you.
- A pseudonymised code made from your IP address (a keyed one-way hash), kept with the enquiry so we can spot junk repeatedly sent from the same connection. Your IP address itself is not stored.
When you sign in as a customer
The sign-in page asks for nothing. You open your own AiONe space's address, and Cloudflare emails you a one-time code to confirm it's really you. AiONe never asks for a password.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and talk with you about AiONe.
- To keep the site safe and stop spam.
- To understand which features people ask for most, counted without names, so we know what to build next.
We don't sell personal information, we don't share it with marketers, and we don't use your enquiry to train AI. We'll only send you marketing email if you ask for it or are already talking with us, and every one will have an easy way to say "no more" (Spam Act 2003).
Where it is kept, and for how long
- Enquiries are stored on our own servers in Queensland, Australia.
- When an enquiry arrives, our team gets a short phone notification that says only that an enquiry arrived. Your name and details are not in it.
- The website and sign-in run through Cloudflare, Inc., a United States company with data centres around the world, including Australia. Information passing through it on the way to us may therefore be handled outside Australia for a moment. Cloudflare is bound by contract to protect it.
- We keep an enquiry for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a customer (then your customer agreement applies) or ask us to delete it sooner. Deleted enquiries also drop out of our backups as older backups are replaced on their normal cycle.
- We protect what we hold with encryption in transit, access limited to our team, and two-step checks on our own systems. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach is likely to cause you serious harm we will tell you and the regulator, as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
Talking with an AI
The enquiry conversation on the home page is automated and speaks in AiONe's voice. It asks a short, fixed set of questions and passes your answers to our team. It doesn't make any decision about you: a person reads every enquiry and decides how to respond. AiONe won't tell you about other customers, and what you type there is never used to change how AiONe behaves.
Your choices
- You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We'll answer within 30 days, at no cost.
- You can contact us without giving your business name. If you'd rather not send device details, write to us instead (see Contact below).
- If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, tell us first and we'll try to put it right within 30 days. If you're still not satisfied you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Website terms
By using aione.net.au you agree to these terms. They are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
- General information only. This site describes AiONe in general terms. It isn't an offer or a contract, and features, prices and availability are set out in a written proposal or agreement before you pay anything. Features described as "coming soon" have no promised date.
- Your rights under consumer law. Nothing here excludes, restricts or changes any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't be excluded. Apart from those rights, the site is provided as it is, and to the extent the law allows we aren't liable for loss arising from its use or from it being unavailable.
- Use the site fairly. Don't try to break into, overload, copy wholesale, scrape, or interfere with the site or the systems behind it, and don't send enquiries that are false, abusive, or meant to trick the AI. We may block anyone who does.
- Names and content. AiONe™ is the subject of Australian trade mark application 2711276. The AiONe name, the iO symbol, the site's design and words are owned by Cloverdale Collective Pty Ltd. Please don't use them in a way that suggests a connection with us we haven't agreed to.
- Links. Links to other sites are for convenience; we're not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
- Changes. We may update this page. The date at the top shows when it last changed; important changes will be shown on the home page for 30 days.
